Positive Perceptions of Africa

 

This film was made as an entry to the Inaugural Short Film Competition for Secondary Schools organised by the Carlow African Film Festival in 2012. The competition, with a theme of ‘Positive Perceptions of Africa’, aimed to increase students’ knowledge and understanding of Africa, introduce the art of film making to students and provide a platform where works could be showcased in a professional environment. At a screening in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, the film was announced as the  1st Place Winner of the Carlow African Film Festival Short Film Competition 2012.
